BEYOND RUGGED RIDES: JEEP TRAILCAT CONCEPT

At OXX we build premium products for people who work and play outside — and getting where you’re going is part of the fun. We build for life’s most extreme situations so, we’re highlighting some of the epic vehicles out there today that also strive to exceed your expectations. Power and performance are what lies inside these OXX certified Beyond Rugged Rides.
You know it’s going to be an adventure of epic proportions when your ride has bucket seats borrowed from the Dodge Viper to help “keep you in place”. We’re grateful for that because the 707-horsepower Hellcat V8 Engine under the hood is going to try and buck you right out.

 “Purrrrrr”

The Trailcat is completely ferocious. The massive 39.5 inch BFGoodrich Krawler T/A tires, Fox Shocks, and Dana 60 front and rear axles attempt to give this predator some traction (keyword “attempt”). With those huge wheels, the wheelbase gained a 12 inch extension and they went ahead and added a 2 inch lift perch to take the Jeep even higher off the ground.

Hell yes.

The custom Hellcat shift knob is a nice touch, and a reminder of the satanic speed you’ll reach (0-60 mph in 3 seconds, top track speeds 199 mph). Did we mention the 650 lb-ft of torque? The aesthetics of the Trailcat increase in awesomeness with a two inch cropped windshield, domed and vented hood, rock rails, and tubular half doors.

Seat-belts may be the most underrated feature here.

Sadly, the concept was only created for Jeep’s Easter Safari in Moab, Utah. However, we are looking forward to seeing more of that Hellcat engine in the future. Maybe they’ll throw it in the body of a Fiat 500 for kicks and giggles. For now we’ll admire the Trailcat, a perfect off roader, with great grip for crawling or fiercely powering through the desert. This ride was built Beyond Rugged, with all the features to make it badass and then some — and you already know we love that OXX green color on there.
